Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice Charity will receive a donation of 10,000 pounds from the British International Shipping Association (BIFA) after collecting donations at the annual charitable dinner party in Liverpool.
About 300 BIFA members, their guests and local stakeholders gathered in the center of Hilton Liverpool, where Liverpool mayor, Counselor Richard Ketep Mbi and Lady mayor, Counselor Eric Kembe joined them.
The regional bifa president, Keith Bagoley of Acl Grimaldi Lines, welcomed everyone to the new place for this event, a firm part of the social scene of the shipping industry on MERSEYSIDE.
He appealed to support to the chosen charity, after explaining that Zoe’s Place Baby HosPice faced an uncertain future in 2024 after it failed to secure the required financing for new buildings.
“After a feverish campaign, a target was reached to collect donations of 5 million pounds, and the future of the trouble was guaranteed. But the work that Hospice is doing in Zoe to support children and young children with complex diseases or disabilities from birth to five years of age, needs constant financing,” Bagoli explained.
On behalf of BIFA, thank Bagoley event sponsors: Genco Logistics, HaPag-LLOYD, Maersk, Peel Ports, Seacon SG and Unsworth; In addition to the following companies that donated public auction: Cardinal Maritime, ACL GRIMALDI LINES, Maersk and Peel Ports.
Steve Parker, General Director of BIFA, concludes: “attending the annual dinner of the BIFA LivePool region gives everyone a wonderful opportunity to communicate with transport companies, port representatives and other strategic partners in the global supply chains run by members of the Commercial Society. It is great that there will be a platform for collecting money for a very worthy association.”
