- Dubai-based managing director Barbara Baumgartner and Michael Extmann from FAI Technik will represent the group. The company will showcase its full service capabilities, including air ambulance, private jet charter, aircraft management, maintenance, repair and overhaul services.
FAI Aviation Group, Germany’s leading global provider of mission-critical aviation services, offering fixed-wing air ambulance, private aircraft charter, aircraft management and MRO services, is participating in its first exhibition at the Dubai Airshow this month, from 17 to 21 November. FAI will display its services at Pavilion No. 637, which is part of the German Pavilion, on the occasion of the company’s celebration of 23 years of its presence in the United Arab Emirates. FAI’s VIP charter and air ambulance missions in the region represent approximately 20% of its total operations.
The participation will be led by Barbara Baumgartner, Managing Director of the Dubai-based group, which is celebrating its 22nd anniversary with the FAI in Dubai this year, and Michael Axtmann, Managing Director of the German FAI Technik.
Barbara said: “We are pleased to participate in the Dubai Airshow, alongside more than 1,400 exhibitors from 98 countries.” She said: “The Middle East is a very important market for us, with our ownership of Bahrain and the critical 24/7 work we do, providing long-range air ambulance missions and corporate and government flights around the world as well as our comprehensive MRO services through our dedicated division, FAI Technik. Dubai is an ideal base for us, well located for Europe and FAI’s headquarters in Germany – and for Asia. From Dubai we can reach two-thirds of the world’s population within six to eight hours.”
Increased business aviation usage equates to an uptick in demand for maintenance, repair, overhaul, cabin refurbishment and retrofit work including complete interior modifications such as the latest state-of-the-art Challenger 604 project. “During the show I look forward to speaking with existing operators and potential new customers who require third-party maintenance or cabin retrofit work,” said Michael Axtman. FAI’s MRO activity is typically carried out in the company’s three modern, EASA Part-145 certified hangars in Nuremberg, Germany. Its Dubai office serves as a key regional hub for FAI departments, including those supported by FAI Technik capabilities.
