- Star Alliance has appointed Simon Ralph as UK Managing Director, based at London Heathrow Airport, to lead UK engagement and strategic projects that enhance connectivity and customer experience for member airlines.
- Ralph has over 25 years of aviation experience, having joined from IATA where he held senior roles in Membership and External Relations across London, Montreal and Geneva.
- Heathrow’s Terminal 2, known as the Star Alliance Terminal, hosts 22 member airlines, serving more than 13 million passengers annually, with shared facilities including check-in, Gold Track security, the Star Connection Center and executive lounges.
Star Alliance, the first and largest global airline alliance, has announced the appointment of Simon Ralph as its UK Managing Director.
Based at London Heathrow Airport and working closely with the headquarters in Singapore, Ralph will lead Star Alliance’s UK engagement, developing strategic projects that enhance seamless connectivity and elevate the customer experience of member airlines. He will work proactively with airport stakeholders for the collective interests of the Alliance at Heathrow and will oversee initiatives that enhance the operational performance and strategic value of the Alliance.

Simon has over 25 years’ experience in the aviation industry. He joins Star Alliance from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), where he served as Director of External Relations. During his time at IATA, he held a range of Membership and External Relations positions in London, Montreal and Geneva.
