Efforts to provide health care, education, and professional support in disadvantaged societies, heading towards flying. A new initiative aims to bridge corporate resources with humanitarian aid, which creates an organization channel through which companies can actively contribute to social development projects in Kenya. The program, called the Business Partnership Program, seeks to harness the logistical force and the operational power of the air aircraft sector to meet the urgent societal needs.
In essence, the initiative revolves around moving the goods; It is related to life. “We want to improve life with you, with the shipping industry,” said Stefan Dor, the first director of Project LCCEVOLUTION at Lufthansa Cargo. “We have many sponsors and special donations from private sector members, families, etc., but we are not strong in the corporate environment. This is a great opportunity for companies to engage in shared responsibility.”
The most prominent role of companies playing an active role outside the traditional charitable works. “We want to do this as a shared responsibility approach,” he said. “You can use Lufthansa Cargo services, and you can also engage in commercial donations. For the time time, we need to charge computers to Kenya. If your organization can take care of it, it is a very concrete way to help.”
From the role of orphans to vocational training
The program relies on years of basic work in Nairobi, Kenya, where Cargo Human Care has been working since 2007.
Non -governmental organizations are now employing 26 local employees and have more than 750 active members in Germany. More than 300 young men are supported through care and work training programs, while the medical center alone provided more than 40,000 treatment last year to patients without a means of payment. “With 21 euros, you can take care of one person for one year,” explained Dwayne. “Almost no one in Kenya has health insurance, so this is vital. Our management costs are only 0.3 percent. This means that more than 99 cents of each euro goes directly to the people we serve.”
Projects extend to primary schools, secondary schools, vocational centers, and water supply initiatives, and support for thousands of individuals throughout Nairobi and northern Kenya. “This year, the money will go from our charitable work to build a school for girls in northern Kenya.” “Every year, money is allocated for a different project to ensure continuous and sustainable development.”
Corporate social responsibility
The business partnership program for humanity is an official invitation for companies to interact with human cargo care in an organized and developed manner. “We have created a program that can be limited from low to high participation,” said Dor. “Bronze partners can take care of ten medical treatments or a school project. Partners at the gold level can participate in multiple projects, distribute their slogans, and even have a partner manager dedicated to coordinating efforts.”
He emphasized the role of the broader purpose of the initiative. “My daughter will never work with an airline without a social purpose. People today want to work for organizations that provide a sense of contribution. Through this partnership, we offer this exactly – an opportunity for companies to be socially responsible while participating in meaningful projects.”
The program provides flexibility: Companies can choose specific projects to support or care for educational or medical initiatives, or provide logistical assistance such as air for basic equipment. “We are very creative,” said Dor. “There are many ways to participate, whether through financial support, volunteering or logistical contributions. Our goal is to facilitate companies to have an impact.”
Scaling
The logistical spine of the Air Industry plays an important role in the program. Lufthansa charging aircraft was used specifically to raise awareness, as they worked as ambassadors of the case. “This is more than a charity; it is a vision and participation,” Dwayne said. “We had planes drawn with pictures of children from our orphans, and they fly all over the world, symbolizing hope and communication.”
The full spectrum of the programs currently requires $ 680,000 annually. “Let’s transfer all these projects, it is of course necessary to obtain donations,” Dwayne noted. “Corporate partners can help us maintain and develop these initiatives, while taking advantage of the social responsibility program organized for companies.”
