PandeMic Covid-19 focused greatly on Pharma, especially with the global distribution of vaccines. With such a concentrated voltage, there were significant investments in the cold chain to ensure the safe delivery of these products around the world, which the industry is now benefiting from.
“Pharma is a major strategic product. We believe that demographic shifts will increase demand in the future. As people of their age progress, their needs will grow, and the innovations in the industry will be more focused on the patient with more specialized or specialized solutions,” Joel and WobaThe director of Air France Klm Martinair Cargo’s Pharma stated. “For this reason we consider Pharma as an increasing part and we continue to invest in it, as well as in the capabilities of our wonderful series.”
“Under the pressure of Covid-19, we were able to identify the areas of improvement. We used that time to enhance our operations, and as a result, we saw improvements in both the quality of our services and capabilities. The general focus on Pharma also increased, which is a positive development of the industry and us.”
Industry improvements
AFKLMP CARGO currently invests in expanding its capacity on the cold chain to eight degrees in Paris Charles de Gaulle. By increasing the ability and investment in people and experiences, such as CEIV and GDP certificate – service offers can be enhanced.
“We are investing in our entire network,” explained. “One of the recent improvements we have made is to put the thermal covers. We have noticed that some exposure to temperature affected the quality of the goods, so we are taking proactive steps to address this and prevent similar problems in the future.
“We are constantly evaluating what is happening in our operations and looking for ways to improve. Entering thermal covers is just one example of how we work to ensure our promises to customers.”
External challenges
One of the subjects that is often represented by an actress is an imperfect representative in the pharmaceutical supply chain discussions are geopolitical effects. Although no one with a crystal ball is important, it is important to think about how changes in political geography, factories sites and global supply chains affect operations.
“At the present time, I don’t see any major risks to our cold series specifically, but there are many factors outside our control,” highlighted Wobma. For example, changes in definitions and other external factors go beyond our field of influence, however it can still have an effect.
“We need to remain graceful and ready to control our focus and capabilities depending on what is happening in the market. My role is to keep everyone in internal knowledge and to help find ways to move these changes effectively. However, it is an unexpected environment at the present time, which makes it a difficult position.”
Looking to Lyon
As a sponsor of the upcoming Logipharma Conference, AFKLMP has a plan to keep everyone great with ice cream, with their modern developments and better understanding of industry.
With this event, AFKLMP CARGO is working on a new strategy, focusing on competition, quality requirements about controlling goods, and the importance of presenting it on time.
“In this event, we bring all the experience and capabilities that we have as a team, along with the strength of our network and our alliances, including our project partners. We have a lot to offer, but we are also keen on learning,” Wobma said.
“What really concerns me in this event is to explore the changes in the industry that can affect our supply chain in the future, exceeding the usual factors of cost, time and quality.
“For example, how will artificial intelligence affect the industry? How will the increasing focus affect specialized treatments that focus on the patient such as genetic therapy and biological pharmaceutical preparations on the supply chain? Will there be changes in the package that requires us to adjust our capabilities?”
Learning from industry
At the Logipharma Conference, there will be major chapters and discussions that allow companies an opportunity to listen to customers, understand their needs and how to meet these needs with the capabilities currently available.
“What customers ask today may not be the same in the future, so it is important to conduct a future and anti -future investigation in what will be required from the customer’s perspective,” expressed.
