Federal Express Corporation (FEDEX), the largest explicit transport company in the world, proudly announces the opening of its latest facility in Vian. This modern site, designed to deal with both parcel operations and pallets, represents a big step forward in promoting logistical infrastructure in the Netherlands. The new facility enhances the efficiency of sorting and charging operations and is designed with safety and sustainability.
Growth and efficiency
The new facility is designed in Vianen, which was built for strategic growth, with a warehouse area of 5865 square meters and 816 square meters of office space. It provides large -scale operating benefits compared to the previous location. It includes ten doors of the trailers – one equipped with raising scissors and nine with loose loading possibilities. The new sorting machine dramatically increases efficiency, with the maximum sorting capacity of 3,600 parsing per hour. Thanks to 48 direct download sites for trucks in the transport belt, the parcel treatment is now faster and comfortably improved.
Advanced technology
The facility is equipped with new technologies, including x -rays, parcel x -rays, customs cowment, and a safety area for flying to process safe air charging. In addition, the site features a wheel surface to empty unit loading devices efficiently. These improvements allow the processing and delivery of parcels faster, while the advanced sorting system automatically discovers whether the shipments have been detected by customs. Moreover, the planning department is located on the site, allowing the optimal charging scheduling.
With the AT -level AT and the broader goal of FEDEX of achieving carbon neutral operations by 2040, the facility was designed taking into account sustainability. It includes fourteen charging stations for electric cars and four charging points for the general public. The site is also equipped with LED lighting and automatic lighting sensors to reduce energy consumption. FEDEX set three initial electric cars for publication in 2025, as part of the company’s gradual approach to electricity.
Improving the environment
Besides operational efficiency and sustainability, FEDEX also invests in a comfortable and safe work environment. In addition to comfortable work stations, modern offices facilities, and customer office for improved service and direct shipments, Vianen facility includes advanced safety measures. These include security cage and weekly training sessions to ensure a safe workplace.
