For decades, truck drivers collected shipping at airports moved into a network of paper vouchers, reservation offices and long waiting lists. Now, with Smart Up pick up, the process moves completely – which provides greater efficiency and more strict and transparent security for each player in the supply chain.
Speaking at the Air Cargo Community community event in Frankfurt, Simon Linder, Dakosy sales manager, explained that practical frustration aims to solve Smart Pripe.
“At the present time, the driver must submit paper documents and the handling agent must manually verify whether this person is entitled to collect the shipment,” he said. “It takes a long time, is subject to error and simply does not fit the digital age.”
The new approach turns on his head. Drivers will arrive in the QR code on their smartphone, directly linked to charging details. The system concludes whether the individual is authorized to collect goods-in seconds.
“He will become completely digital,” Linder confirmed. “The driver only comes with a smartphone. We check the fast response code and immediately confirm whether it is the right person. This makes the process safer, much easier and much easier.”
The system also addresses other adhesion points. Currently, gambling reservations in handling agents are a partial handicraft, and often lead to delay or lost flights. By including the process on one platform, reservations become automatic and visible to all parties in actual time. “It is related to efficiency and transparency,” Linder explained. “If all the data is located in one place, we avoid duplication and every person in the series knows exactly where things stand.”
This step is also designed to reduce paperwork. “Today, a small slip is still needed, and this means more printing, more mistakes and more bureaucracy,” he said. “With smart capture, we want to completely get rid of paper and create a smooth digital process.”
The verified identifier: Confidence is integrated into the system
While speed and efficiency are clear benefits, security remains a source of urgent anxiety in the air conditions. This is where the identified identifier comes.
Matthias Hakka, the chief adviser at all -gmbH, described the problem with sharp phrases: “At the present time, you often do not know the certainty if the person who stands on the table is the person who is supposed to pick up the shipment. This is a serious danger.”
To close this gap, the identified identifier of the database of a driver -insurance program provides digital definition. Each driver is checked by an external provider, and accreditation data is stored in the system. When they arrive to collect charging, the examination of their smartphone confirms their identity immediately.
“We call it something like a two -factor authentication for truck drivers,” Hakka said. “He works like a digital tracking card on the driver’s phone. Only the person with the verified identifier can complete the pickup, and if not correct, the shipment will not be simply fired.”
The system can also store qualifications, such as if the driver is wiped to transport dangerous goods. “This means that you are not only verified from the identity, but also if the driver has the correct mandate for this specified load,” added HUPKA.
What makes the verified identifier in particular, as it argues, is its flexibility. He said: “We have built it for imports at first, but the same solution can be reused for export or even other operations.” “This ability to reuse is the digital key for the entire logistics chain.”
From the pilot to a proposal
The system has already been tested in the circumstances of the real world. Earlier this year, experimental charges were implemented with key logistics players including Kühne + Nagel, Schenker, DSV and Chi Cargo. According to Linder, the results were encouraging: “The units that we presented smoothly worked on a complete flow. It was not just a software test – direct goods were moving across the system, and it proved that the concept was working.”
After the experimental phase, I now entered Smart Pripe Up and Expierd ID regular use of production, with four participants already on board. The next step is the expansion. “We want to bring this to the broader society,” Lrender explained. “The next handling agent, FCS, will soon join, and from there we will extend it to more agents and illuminations via Frankfurt.”
The ambition extends beyond one airport. “We already have similar systems in Hamburg,” Linder noted. “The goal is to assess how units are applied such as the identifier that has been verified through different sites, which creates consistent digital processes everywhere.”
Hakka agreed, confirming the cooperative nature of the project. “It is not only about technology,” he said. “This is a community project. Only by working with guidance, treatment agents and every person in the series, we can make a real change.”
The Ultimate Vision is a world where the group of goods is without paper, without friction, resistant to fraud. “Upon the arrival of the driver, the system will already know that it is authorized, the shipment is ready, and the hole has been booked. It is fast, transparent, and it is safe. This is the future that we build.”
