CEVA Logistics, the global leader in third-party logistics, has opened a new Amazon fulfillment center in Santa María, Federal District of Brazil. The facility is located approximately 30 kilometers from the country’s capital, Brasilia, and reinforces the region’s position as a major logistics hub in central-west Brazil.
The new 67,000 square meter fulfillment center will support up to 135,000 packages per day, helping Amazon Brazil quickly and reliably reach its end customers. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held earlier this month, in the presence of Federal District Governor Ibanes Rocha, public authorities, Amazon executives, and CEVA leadership to celebrate Amazon’s 15th fulfillment center in Brazil and the second in the Federal District. The new operation will support the local economy with more than 1,400 new jobs and represents a strategic milestone for the region’s e-commerce sector, further strengthening the relationship between CEVA Logistics and Amazon.
The new fulfillment center highlights CEVA’s commitment to operational excellence, featuring advanced inventory management and intelligent warehousing and control systems. Designed for maximum speed and accuracy, the facility maintains a 24-hour service standard focused on safety, reliability and efficient coordination between inventory and transportation operations. Additionally, it incorporates sustainable practices that encourage responsible use of resources and reduce environmental impact, reflecting the shared sustainability goals of both companies.
The CEVA team completed the operational implementation in just 11 weeks, demonstrating exceptional project execution to meet Amazon’s business requirements. By leveraging process governance, automation, analytics and stringent safety standards, the new facility achieves significant gains in productivity and predictability across the supply chain, ultimately enhancing the quality of service for Amazon’s end consumers throughout Brazil.
