- The European Union Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum (EU CBEC) returns to Liège from 8 to 10 September 2026 for its fourth edition since its launch in 2019, with LGG is organizing the event.
- The prestigious Palais des Congrès in Liège will be transformed into the CBEC Theater and exhibition area, hosting more than 300 companies, 100 freight forwarders, 60 airlines and shippers from a wide range of sectors, and 15 trade media.
The 2026 edition will expand its focus beyond e-commerce, to address key trends in the air cargo industry, from digitalisation, multimodality and sustainability to safety and security. Dedicated e-commerce sessions will explore cross-border trade trends, emerging growth drivers, and strategies for airlines and airports navigating the sector’s continued expansion. Complementary topics such as digital marketing, data integration and regulatory compliance will also be on the agenda.
“The event has more than doubled in size since we first hosted it in 2019, and continues to grow in size and impact. We already have 60 confirmed airlines, 53 renowned speakers, and expect over 850 attendees, perhaps even breaking the 1,000 attendance mark in 2026. If you’re active in the air cargo space, this is where you need to be.” says Frédéric Brun, Head of Commercial Shipping and Logistics at LGG.
Established in 2019, EU CBEC is a joint initiative between Belgium and China that unites retailers, brands and global logistics leaders with digital platforms and technology providers. Previous exhibitors have showcased groundbreaking innovations including digital tools, intelligent fulfillment, and advanced cargo handling solutions, all designed to drive efficiency across global logistics networks. With a mission to drive innovation and digital transformation, the Forum offers a dynamic mix of seminars, networking sessions, expert groups, keynotes, exhibition booths, B2B meetings and company visits.
“The EU Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum provides exceptional networking opportunities with senior decision-makers and leaders from across the logistics spectrum, shippers, freight forwarders, technology innovators, airlines and e-retailers, all gathered in one place,” says Torsten Wevers, Vice President Sales and Marketing at LGG.
Businesses interested in featuring or sponsoring the event are encouraged to contact LGG.
