Air India Sats (AISATS)-a joint venture between Sats LTD, based in Air India and Sats LTD, based in Singapore-in a new integrated logistical garden on the air at KempeGoWda International Airport in Bangaluru (BLR Airport). The facility represents 23.6 million US dollars, one of the largest logistical investments in southern India so far and is designed to support the treatment of multimedia goods, facilitate trade, and the broader aspirations of the country to reduce the costs of logistics services and increase exports.
Aisats Blr Logistics, which has an area of eight acres, aims to act as a high capacity charging center, with 240,000 square feet of the A.C. warehouse area, slave facilities, joint cold storage, and office infrastructure designed specifically for customs home factors (CHAS) and shipping tubes. Its integration into the shipping area at BLR Airport – the third most crowded in the field of shipping in India – shows it as a critical node in the government’s national logistical modernization strategy.
“This development reflects our commitment to converting Bangaluru into a logistical and pioneering login. With a focus on digitization, efficiency and multimedia communication, the garden is designed to meet the requirements of both exporters and shipping operators,” said Ramanathan Ragamani, CEO of AISATS.
Support the path of India
The facility becomes working at a time when the sizes of air charging in India and the sector are increasingly attention to policy makers. BLR Airport recorded a production of 502,480 metric tons in the fiscal year 2024-25, an increase of 412,668 metric tons in the fiscal year 2021-22. The airport is now 40 percent of the air cargo in southern India, with an ambition to double the sizes to a million metric tons by 2030. The new logistics park will be essential to achieve this goal.
To enhance the times of transformation and multimedia liquidity, AISATS will operate corridors dedicated to the air truck transport vehicle that records the movement between the garden stations and the airport. This is particularly closely close to India, where the costs of logistics from one to the party representing about 13-14 percent of GDP, that is, is nearly twice the advanced economies. It is expected that the improved contact and integrated warehouses directly will improve the production production of time sensitive, including drugs, electronics, fine equipment, and competitive materials.
Aisats Park’s president stressed the policy consensus of the project: “Aisats Blr Logistics Park is more than just an investment in infrastructure – it is a strategic empowerment factor for India’s ambition to become a global logistical force, in line with the logistical national policy and made it in India.”
Contact and facilitate customs
The facility’s design reflects the increasing focus on integrated customs and commercial facilitation. By providing a tired public warehouse, AISATS aims to serve the original equipment manufacturers (OEMS), e -commerce operators across the border, and the third party logistics companies (3PL) that seeks to unify, store and purify the goods efficiently within the airport.
It is worth noting that the attachment is digitally integrated with the Icegate customs platform in India, which provides mechanical deposits, clarity of the path, tracking, and simplified clearance. Officials expect a decrease of 25-30 percent in the average housing times for public shipments and sensitive shipments for the next 12-18 months.
It is expected that these developments will resonate strongly with international logistics companies and organizational observers, as India expands the system of clearing the digital window trade. The country has advanced significantly in the World Bank logistics index (LPI), with six positions to ranked 38th worldwide in 2023.
“This park enhances the regional and global logistics network. With the increased capacity and digital work progress digitally, we create a smooth logistical experience for our customers via Asia and beyond,” commented Bob Che, CEO of APAC Gateway Services at Sats.
