FedEx has launched five additional weekly Boeing 777 cargo flights from China to Paris, strengthening its Asia-Europe network in response to growing demand ahead of the year-end shopping season.
-
The new roads start from two strategic locations:
-
All flights connect directly to FedEx’s European hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, improving speed and flexibility for shipments in the e-commerce, manufacturing, high-tech and retail sectors.
-
This expansion enhances Asian companies’ access to European markets, with delivery to major European destinations in less than 48 hours.
Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, has expanded its global reach with five weekly flights connecting China with Paris, France. The additional flights reinforce FedEx’s commitment to boosting trade between Asia and Europe, providing Asian companies with faster and more reliable access to European markets and greater flexibility, just in time for the end-of-year festive shopping season.
Flights operate from two main hubs: three from the FedEx APAC Hub at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, and two depart from the FedEx Shanghai International Express and Cargo Hub. All flights use Boeing 777 freighters and connect directly to the FedEx European hub at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. This expansion will enable companies in the region to take advantage of business opportunities in high-demand sectors including e-commerce, manufacturing, high-tech and retail, especially to respond to the peak holiday season with greater flexibility, and achieve new growth for their businesses.
Asia and Europe are vital trading partners and enjoy increasingly close economic ties. In the first half of 2025, the total value of China’s imports and exports with the EU reached RMB 2.82 trillion, an increase of 3.5% year on year, accounting for 12.9% of China’s total foreign trade value, making the EU China’s second largest trading partner.[1]. With deeply interconnected demand, China and the EU serve as each other’s largest import market for consumer goods[2]. At the same time, the integration of industrial and supply chains between China and the EU is accelerating, with China’s exports to the EU of automobile parts, textiles, clothing, home appliances and laptop computers experiencing rapid growth.[3].
“As the global trade landscape continues to evolve, the European market plays an increasingly pivotal role in Chinese companies’ global strategies,” said Poh-Yan Koh, President of FedEx China. “In response to growing customer demand for efficient and flexible logistics solutions, we are constantly improving our network from Asia to Europe. These new flights represent an important step in showcasing our international air capacity to support the Asia-Pacific-Europe trade corridor with enhanced capabilities and reliability. By strengthening our global network, FedEx is enabling customers to navigate peak season opportunities, improving Their logistical experience, and seamless communication with European markets.”
With increased flights between the Asia-Pacific region and Europe, FedEx now operates 26 weekly flights connecting Asia-Pacific shipments to Europe, delivering express shipments to key European destinations in less than 48 hours. FedEx has a strong network with six gateways in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Qingdao, and Xiamen), and three major logistics centers in Europe (Paris, Cologne, and Liège). The recent opening of the new global air transport facility in Istanbul enhances our capabilities. Leveraging our extensive network in the Asia Pacific and Europe regions, FedEx enables companies to reach key European markets quickly and efficiently, facilitating seamless trade and growth.
