- Liège Airport announced exceptional growth for the third quarter of 2025, with its cargo community handling 334,956 tons of cargo between July and September – an increase of 23 percent compared to the same period last year.
- Air freight traffic increased by 9% during the same period, reflecting continued demand across major trade corridors.
Year-to-date, the airport has achieved fourteen-point-four percent growth, driven primarily by strong e-commerce imports and strong European export performance, which were up twenty-six percent year-over-year.
After just nine months, Liège Airport became Europe’s leading full-freight airport, handling 961,640 tons of air freight. Longer term, the latest global air traffic survey by France Aviation Civile Services ranks Liège among the top five fastest-growing cargo airports worldwide, with freight volume rising by twenty-nine percent between 2019 and 2024.
This sustained performance underscores Liège’s role as a sustainable, efficient, multi-modal logistics hub in the heart of Europe – and continues to attract global operators looking for reliability, flexibility and capacity in a dynamic market.
