
Morrison Express appointed Assuk Kumar as a new international executive, Sefficeer 1 August 2025, which represents the beginning of a new chapter for Taiwan -based Taiwan after being acquired by Japan’s Sagawa Express, part of SG Holdings. Kumar’s headquarters will be the Maurison headquarters in Taipei, where the company begins to integrate into the international SG Holdings.
Kumar joins Morrison with more than 20 years of experience in re -directing the shipping and managing the supply chain. He recently served as CEO and Head of Global Air Shipping at DB Schenker, who led operations in 14 countries and managed a workforce of more than 2000 employees from his base in Frankfurt.
Kumar, who started his career in his lines in Singapore, began to ship SIA while he was expanding to charging, making great roles in Europe before moving to Rest. Bax Global and Exel later (DHL now). In 2006, in the wake of obtaining the DB Schenker for Bax, he was appointed as the head of sales in Asia and the Pacific. For nearly two decades, it has risen over the ranks, and eventually became a world president of ignition.
In DB Schenker, Kumar was a central figure in directing the carrier through the epidemic capacity crisis, the launch of the charter programs, the installation of purchases with airlines, and the inclusion of digital prediction tools for customers. It also prompted sustainability initiatives and cooperative planning models that strengthened flexibility over the network.
After DSV acquired DB Schenker, Kumar chose to step down earlier this year and moved to Taiwan in July.
MORRISON Express was founded in 1972 with 16 employees, who have grown from their roots in Taipei to global guidance. The appointment of Kumar, the leader known for light movement, transparency, and strong carrier relations, confirms his ambition to expand his role in global logistics services in light of the SG Holdings umbrella.
