
Embraer works with the liturgical industry to establish long -term cooperation in space and defense. This partnership follows Lithuania’s decision to choose the C-390 Millennium military transport plane in June 2025.
Over the past few weeks, an Embraer experts have traveled through Lithuania to meet local industrial partners and visit many facilities. Their experience extends to many major areas, including maintenance, reform and reform (MRO), engineering, innovation, technological development, and supply chain management.
“We have met many Lituanian industrial organizations and have noticed their experiences and capabilities,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defeense & Security. “We will contribute to Lithuania’s defensive capabilities with the Millennium C-390 and also support industrial and technological development in the country.”
Since the early first decade of the twentieth century, Embraer Defeense and Security has increased steadily from its presence in Europe through strategic investments in defense companies, the establishment of industrial establishments, and the expansion of its suppliers. It is worth noting that more than 40 % of the C-390 supply chain is obtained from European partners.
Recently, Embraer has launched several major industrial cooperation projects with Portugal, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic and Sweden. The composition of the Embraer Defeense EUROPE, which is headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, shows the company’s continuous commitment to cooperation with the European Union and NATO. This includes plans to establish C-390 training centers and deepen relations with defense institutions throughout the region.
Discussions related to industrial cooperation between Lithuania and Breyra reflect the strategic goals set by the Ministry of Defense in Lithuania and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, with the aim of building a flexible, defensive industrial base in the future as well as cooperation with educational and research institutions.
C-390 Millennium is the next generation plane designed to work in strengthening environments and under difficult conditions, providing super speed, load capacity, and flexibility of the task.
It chooses its choice of Lithuania with an increasing number of European allies and NATO, including Portugal, Slovakia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Sweden who also chose C-390 to update their weather class. By adopting the Millennium C-390, Lithuania will significantly enhance its operating capabilities, with additional assertion that all operational needs can be provided and a lifelong support for the plane in Europe.
Since entering the operation in 2019, C-390 Millennium has proven its ability, reliability and performance. The current fleet in the process showed the mission rate rate of 93 % and the completion rates of the task above 99 %.
C-390 is able to perform a wide range of missions, such as transporting and dropping goods and forces, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, humanitarian missions, working on temporary or unpaved orbits, such as bottled land, soil and gravel. The formation plane with air fuel equipment, with the appointment of KC-390, has proven its ability to supply air fuel as a carrier unit and as a reception, in this case by receiving fuel from the KC-390 using pods installed under the wings.
