Ascend Airways Malaysia, a new Malaysia-based airline and part of the ACMI, the largest ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance) in the world, has advanced to the third stage of the Air Competate Certificate (AOC). The ACMI and Charter Solutions provider aims to launch the first shipping operations in November 2025, with passengers to follow.
In 2024, ASCEND AIRWAIS MALYSIA was granted a police service permit (CASP) from the MAVCOM Airways Committee and since then has been closely working with the Civil Aviation Authority in Malaysia (CAAM) in order to obtain an AOC certificate (AOC). This process is currently in its final stages, and full flights will begin at the end of 2025.
ACMI and Charter Airline, which is based in Qalala Lamborning, will offer passenger and cargo operations. The first B737-800 charging aircraft will reach Malaysia Q3 2025 to facilitate the operations necessary for the full AOC version and launch the airlines. After that, the second and third passenger B737-800 plane will be inserted into the Malaysian airline fleet by the end of 2025 and early 2026, respectively.
“Since our mission is to support the growth of local and regional airlines, we want to become a reliable partner in ACMI that can help them increase the lightness of operational movement and seize the increasing demand for passengers and goods, which are increasing in the Asia and Pacific region.”
“As a new ACMI Airlines in Malaysia, we are constantly grateful for global support and expectations and the pre -emptive approach that we receive from the Ministry of Transport, CAAM, MAVCOM and other relevant authorities that are advancing in the aviation industry in the region, and this overwhelming support allowed us to establish a strong air institution to help air operators and their passengers in the region.”
Ascend Airways Malaysia aims to provide a vital solution to wet hydration in Malaysia, Asia and the Pacific, allowing airlines and logistical services companies to expand their operations and secure additional revenues during the peak season. This model also allows air operators to move in operational challenges such as unexpected flight disorders and long maintenance events.
“ASCEND is concentrated and committed to providing elastic ACMI solutions and developing its seasonal fleet strategy between the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Asia and the Pacific.
