Brandon Farid, Executive Director of Airforwards (AFA) called on the United States government to freeze definitions, not trade, with the continued commercial negotiations of the Trump administration, while speaking at the CNS Partnership Conference for this year in Miami.
“We understand that this customs tariff was initially appointed to balance the trade deficit of foreign goods that enter the United States, and that the customs tariff is a common mechanism for international trade,” said Brandon Farid, CEO of Airforwarders.
“However, instability caused the implementation of collective tariff, negotiation, and bilateral agreements, as well as inevitable conflicts at high rates, hitting our industry, and we need to freeze the definitions, not our ability to trade.
“Our experience is done in the test, as we have to find solutions that can advance within days or weeks.”
Since the beginning of 2025, the United States government has announced a widespread tariff for almost all countries, starting with a 25 percent tariff on almost all Mexican and Canadian goods in February this year.
“We need to invest in our infrastructure and security,” Al -Maqli.
“Our ability to trade is crucial in the geopolitical geopolitical scene today, and the US logistical transportation sector has always been a proud partner in the United States industry, as it provides import and export capabilities worldwide.
“We are ready to work with the Trump administration to support this, and most importantly, make sure that the United States is open to work, both local and international.”
Fried attended the CNS Partnership Conference for this year in Miami, Florida, where the pioneering industry representatives met to discuss the latest industry and trend issues.
