
With more than three decades of experience in the air and air freight industry, Michael Cox is an experienced leader known for his strategic vision and operational experience. He currently served as the president of Avia Cargo, Michael built a reputation for the leadership of innovation and efficiency in the logistical services sector.
How did you enter into the air and logistical charging industry?
I was originally on the side of the passengers in the British Midland, and in 1992, they asked me to move to the goods. I didn’t know anything about it at that time, but as soon as I entered, I loved him – and I have since remained.
What is the best advice you received ever?
Worry about things you can control. Things that you cannot? Do not waste time to emphasize them.
What is the most adventurous thing you have ever?
I completely changed my life in 33 years. I gave up everything and moved to New York to start a new profession.
If you can have dinner with three people, live or dead, who will be?
My grandmother – I miss her every day. Margaret Tscher, because I liked how she was frank. George Michael – his music was a large part of adolescence in the 1980s.
What is the thing that people do not know about you from your CV?
My first job was thirteen years old at a butcher store – on the same day, Elvis Presley died.

Traveling through time.

Buy my first home.
What remorse?
I do not believe in remorse. We all make decisions, too late, were not the best. Unfortunately, I see them as educational experiences.
Who plays you in a movie about your life?
Colin Vrath – it’s very English. But for my gray hair? Perhaps George Clooney.
What advice will you give to someone who is thinking about a profession in air cargo?
Be open to change. It will not be the same.
How to motivate your team?
Communication is the key. Don’t hide behind emails – when you are in doubt, pick up the phone. And if you make a mistake, you always have it.
One element you cannot travel without?
My phone.

Now, I read Patterson’s novel called London. I love excitement.

Cats or dogs?
I have three dogs, but I had cats before. Even people say I am acting like a cat.
Are you from early riser or night owl?
To change with age. I used to be night owl, but I am now early.

better? my house. worst? We all buy things on a whim that we will regret later.
If you can only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what will be?
Fruits and cheese.
