
George Bretton is the Vice President of SMB sales in Cargo.one, where he leads the services of the air purchasing platform for young and medium customers. Before joining Cargo. One this year, Brestton has worked in many areas of SAAS digital business to Fintech and HR Tech. Its headquarters is in Surrey, the UK, and outside the work is a three -wing father.
What is the function of your dreams as a child?
I grew up, I always dreamed of becoming a professional player for the Rajabi or an Olympic swimmer – mainly because I spent most of my childhood either in the pool or is covered with mud on a playing stadium. In the past, I think I was attracted to anything that involves some adventure and a lot of teamwork, which, enough, is very similar to my career now – minus clay.
Window or the corridor seat?
The corridor, every time. I love to extend my legs, and I am not keen to mix an embarrassing “pardon” when nature calls. In addition, I can make a quick haven when the plane lands – always a bonus.
What is the best work lesson you learned in the difficult way?
Never reduce listening power – really listen to your team and customers. Early my career, I thought the leadership was about getting answers. It turns out that it is about asking the correct questions and creating space for others to shine. Some of the best ideas that you were part of the time ago as comments are not available at the team meeting. Humility pays profits.
If you can switch jobs with anyone for one day, then who will be?
I love swap with Heathrow air traffic controller. The massive scale, pressure, and coordination – similar to the orchestra, but with aircraft. In addition, I imagine that it will make my incoming mailbox wander positively in comparison.
What are the three elements that you will bring to a desert island?
Kettlebell, Rajabi ball and solar energy. I think if you read Aqaba is the enough way, I will discover how to get off the island and return home.
What is the most exciting place you visited to work?
Austin, Texas. My hand. The city has a wonderful energy, and the dining scene is very good. I still dream of the sketch that I had. If not, then move down.
What is your song in the karaoke?
“Do you know your mother” by Aba. It is my cheese, it contains an unconventional bass, and it is impossible to sing without a wide smile.
If you can master one skill immediately, what will be?
Play guitar and singing. I have always admired people who can take a tool and collect a room together. I would like to be able to get rid of Jim Croce – Perhaps Square No. 10 – without clearing the room.
What is the thing in your list of bulldozers?
I would like to ride the UK length, from the end of Land to John O ‘GROATS. There is something that enables seeing the entire country directly, and I love riding a bike.
What is the best airport in the world, and why?
Gatwick. It is local, it is usually calm if it reaches the evening for a night trip, and it appears to be like home grass. No tug, no noise – just how I like it.
If Air Cargo has the amulet, what will be?
I imagine a wise old owl wearing pilot glasses, holding a small portfolio. Effective, committed, always one step forward – plus, who does not like an owl?
How did you enter the terms of the tendons/logistics services?
Full coincidence. I was completely new to air charging until you joined Cargo.one. What started like the curiosity and admiration soon as inspiration – people, the huge size of the industry, and the feeling that it is about to jump a digital leap. It was a very slope educational curve, but society welcomes incredibly and working hard. I am grateful to be part of it.
What is the quote that echoed with you more?
“We are what we do over and over again. Excellence, therefore, not really, but usually.” Will Durant, who is stuck with me. It is a reminder that small things increase, and consistency is everything.
