With more than 25 years of experience in the aviation and logistics industry, Etekin Sarai began his career in Banielbina, where he developed a strong basis in the reintegration of international shipping. Over the years, he held many leadership roles in the group, especially in the name of CCO and the administrative director in central Europe. In February 2025, he was appointed CEO of Global Gsa Group, which is the fastest journey of the company.
What is the function of your dreams as a child?
When I was a child, I faced great health challenges, and inspired me sympathy and dedication to medical professionals around me to dream of becoming a doctor. I was deeply affected by their ability to make a change in people’s lives, and for a period of time, I imagined this path myself.
While the conditions of life eventually led me in a different direction, I discovered a new and equal passion for the air and logistics industry. What started as a functional opportunity has evolved into a lifetime commitment. The dynamic nature of AirFeright-the connection of people, companies and markets all over the world has proven incredibly rewarding. In many ways, the industry allowed me to make a meaningful effect, only in a different form from what I originally imagined.
What is the biggest change I saw in the industry?
The air conditions industry has seen a remarkable transformation over the years, but the most important change is to integrate technology. If we look back on the days when we relied on fax and manual processes, it is amazing to see how far we have reached. At that time, we were not able to imagine the digital tools and systems that we now use daily.
Today, advanced tracking techniques, data analyzes in actual time, and automation revolutionary the way we manage supply chains. These innovations greatly improved operational efficiency, transparency and customer service. Moreover, the increasing focus on sustainability and environmentally conscious practices represents another major transformation, as the industry is increasingly focused on reducing carbon mark and adopting green logistical solutions. In general, these developments made the air airline sector more flexible, flexible and better equipped to meet the advanced demands of the global economy.
What is the most strange thing that you have ever charged?
It was one of the most unusual experiences – which affects emotionally – in my professional life dealing with the transfer of 40 human remains on a cargo ship. It was a very realistic moment we mentioned the human stories behind the shipments we run every day. Although it was a complex and sensitive task in logistical, it also emphasized the important role that the conditions of air weapons play in supporting people during some times of life. The ability to help bring their loved ones to their families, with dignity and care, is the responsibility that we have taken seriously. It was a strong reminder that our industry is not only related to the transportation of goods – it also revolves around the service of people with sympathy when it is more important.
What is the tanna word that you do not like secretly?
“Impossible” – I really don’t like this word. It is a frustrating and restricted feeling, especially when it comes to discussing dreams, bold ideas or ambitious goals. In our industry – and in life – it was impossible to achieve through design, creativity and teamwork.
Instead of closing a conversation, I prefer to reformulate something more constructive, such as: “This looks difficult”, or “What is it required to achieve this?”
These responses open the door to solve problems and innovation, instead of closing it. After all, many of the greatest achievements with someone dared to believe that it was possible.
What is the best work lesson you learned in the difficult way?
On my first day in this industry, I asked a question – “Knowledge is the power”. At that time, I felt comfortable, but that moment was stuck with me. Instead of frustration, I took it as a incentive to learn everything I can and take a growth ownership.
Over time, I realized that although knowledge is already strong, it is the measures you take with that knowledge that really constitute your way. This lesson has remained with me throughout my career: Never wait to be delivered answers – search for it, stay curious, and continue to move forward. Constant learning, associated with decisive work, is what drives the long term.
If you can master one skill immediately, what will be?
I would like to master a practical skill immediately-something creative I can do as a hobby. I have never been especially useful, so the ability to build something or formulate it with my hand will be incredibly satisfactory. It is a skill that combines relaxation and a sense of achievement – something really admired in others and I hope to explore more myself.
